On October 18, Senior Director of Conservation at the Indiana Historical Society, Ramona Duncan-Huse and Director of the Local History Services at the Indiana Historical Society, Jeff Harris conducted a Collections Preservation workshop at the Elkhart County Historical Museum (ECHM). Ramona instructed 15 participants on how to properly preserve historical collections. She highlighted issues, including: collection storage and environmental controls, how to recognize and preserve different types of material, demonstrated a low-cost humidification process, and guided the class in paper surface cleaning.
